Oracle Project Manager

Oracle Cloud Project Manager

Full Time.

Client is based in CA but consultant need to travel all over the US.

Essential Job Functions

Leadership: Manage/Lead and guide work of teams on projects

Coordinate and provide leadership in development of project plans, analysis, design, and development of complex mission-critical project implementation
Work closely with other leads and managers within organization and foster collaborative relationships across team members
Schedule and handle work load of team members
Identify appropriate consultant for assignments
Review and follow up on completion of tasks done by team to ensure quality of work
Work with India/U.S. Managers to understand tasks to ensure India resources work on accurate requirements
Ensure U.S. team provides sufficient information for work to be done in India
Participate in calls, meetings, and efforts for more complex work
Perform formal reviews
Schedule education for staff
Discuss and schedule vacations based on project requirements
Informal review of consultant performance
Participate in interview process and provide feedback on applicant qualifications and hiring

Plan Projects: Manage projects from inception through Post Go-Live phases

Prepare and present pre-project checklist
Kickoff Meeting Presentation
Team Roster
Roles and Responsibilities
Two week schedule
Ensure meeting agendas and minutes are produced

Plan project and monitor progress and/or take corrective action

Create and maintain detailed project schedule/plan with weekly updates
Review task details with all team members on projects and measure percent completion
Conduct team meetings every other day as appropriate with meeting minutes
Maintain Issues Log
Provide and present project status to client and team

Weekly Status Reports
Weekly Project Plans
Steering Committee Presentations every 2 to 4 weeks
Produce Budget to Actual reporting monthly or semi-monthly depending on length of projects

Manage Technical Deliverables and Solutions

Ensure OBA standard practices/procedures are followed if applicable
Manage all activities related to Oracle environment(s) and instances
Produce and update Gap list
Provide developers with Programming Standards document
Ensure Patch Log is current and maintained by instance
Data Conversions

Ensure Data conversion documents and templates are produced and accurate
Build and adjust data conversion schedule

Interfaces, Extensions, EDI, and other development

Ensure functional specifications are produced for work greater than 3 days in scope
Ensure technical design documents are produced, accurate, and signed off, if applicable

Reports

Publish report requirements list
Ensure report specifications are developed and signed off

Manage Conference Room Pilot process

Produce and present CRP 2 and CRP 3 Kickoff Presentations
Assist client with development of CRP 2 and CRP 3 schedules and scorecards
Provide sample test scripts
Assist client with development of Process Flow scripts
Provide Stress Test Plan, if applicable

Manage Go-Live process

Create and manage detailed Cutover Plan covering client activities and duties including Production patching and code deployment
Prepare and obtain approval of Go-Live Readiness Review Document
Prepare and present Go-Live Risk Letter

Other Management

Provide business perspective to client management
Escalate all schedule issues to management
Ensure all relevant documents and codes are place into DAZSI.net
Identify additional account revenue opportunities
Ensure adequate level of design documentation is generated given the type of project; FSD, FSA, and/or Setup documents

Manage project budget and invoice process

Ensure all hours are billed to client
Ensure timesheet reporting is accurate and on time
Approve invoices prior to distribution to client
Follow up with open invoices
Generate Project Change Notices (PCNs) before services start

Participate in Pre-Sales activity, as needed

Go on sales calls with Sales team, if required
Provide solution options, if required
Engage with prospective management

Manage applications testing, user training and transition to new application

Manage client business needs with technical constraints and project delivery schedules
Train client project team on standard functionality and custom applications
Manage application unit and cross-functional business flows testing by business users
Prepare transition plan with functional business users for cutover to new applications
Manager cutover activities to new application

Perform all other job duties as assigned by immediate supervisor that can be successfully completed at the skill level required by this position

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements

Bachelor Degree
Minimum 5+ years Oracle Applications implementation functional experience
Minimum 3+ years Oracle Application Project Management experience, multiple projects, prefer at least one of which Cloud
Knowledge of Best Practices for Manufacturing and Distribution
Excellent knowledge of full business processesincluding how it translates to Oracle Applications across multiple industry segments
Able to manage implementation teams including client personnel and interact with client senior management
Able to estimate tasks, schedule tasks and manage resources and priorities
Able to demonstrate high level computer skills and knowledge in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and Project
Excellent management and leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical capabilities
Ability to interact effectively within a team and with client(s)
Possess a valid driver’s license, personal car insurance and good driving record
