Role Description
We are seeking a skilled Surface or Blanchard Grinder for a full-time, on-site role based in Bridgeport, CT. The Grinder will be responsible for operating machines to grind surfaces of metal parts to precise specifications. This includes setting up and adjusting machine tools, inspecting finished products for accuracy, maintaining equipment, and following all safety protocols.
Day-to-day tasks will include reading and interpreting blueprints, selecting grinding wheels, setting up machines, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate surface and Blanchard grinding machines to meet specifications.
- Set up and adjust machine tools as required for each project.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy using precision measurement tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
- Follow company safety guidelines and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Surface Grinding and Blanchard Grinding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
- Proficiency with inspection tools and precision measurement techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Trade school education and/or relevant certifications preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
